Thunderboxes of Our Planet: Iceland 1

To view the posts in this blog in chronological order click on 'Love at First Sight' at the top of  the blog archive on the right, then 'Newer post' thereafter.
Blágill
An atmospheric shot of the fine old longdrop at Blágill, Lakagigar, now replaced by modern indoor plumbing.

Þingvellir Intergalactic
Þingvellir National Park.

Tjarnagigur
Ablutions complex at the car park, Tjarnagigur, Lakagigar.
This well appointed unit has male and female toilet, washing and baby changing facilities and equipment storage. It has running water brought from a spring in the mountainside in the background. I once got locked in.
Snorkel Long Drop, Hljóðaklettar, Jökulsargljufur, Vatnajökull National Park.
Hljóðaklettar means ‘echoing cliffs’. Thunderous evacuations should be avoided.
